The Role

– Full time contract until 30 June 2023

Working as part of the Talent Acquisition Team, the role of the Volunteer & Student Placement Coordinator is to work closely with key stakeholders to effectively and efficiently coordinate the Volunteer & Student Placement Services in accordance with Baptist Care SA’s business plan. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Business Partner, the role will be responsible for recruiting, inducting, supporting, and recognising volunteers to maximise volunteer engagement and effectiveness as well as coordinating Student Placements across the organisation. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of an organisational wide volunteer & Student Placement strategy
  • Coordinating the volunteer attraction and acquisition process to ensure the right-fit volunteers are recruited across the business
  • Coordinating and facilitating Volunteer Information and Interview sessions as part of the selection process
  • Developing and implementing a communication strategy to keep volunteers engaged and informed
  • Managing the end to end administration of Volunteers & Student placements including background screening and all relevant paperwork
  • Coordinating the scheduling of student placements across the organisation
  •   Our Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, community development, or related (experience will be considered in lieu)
  • Experience in the operational management of volunteer / student placement programs
  • Previous experience providing generalist HR support or experience within a Talent Acquisition role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Well developed communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate skill level working within computer applications and databases
