At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

Role

Reporting to the Publications Section Manager, this role offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in Honda’s Business Operations across the European Region for all three Product Groups – Car, Motorbike and Power Products. Whilst this is an office-based role, you shall be able to visit our dealer network, the European branch offices, the Honda logistics Centres, and our Pan European suppliers.

This role is primarily to provide support to the Publications team, whose remit is the delivery of vehicle documentation through varied print and digital media formats. You will be communicating with our offices in Japan and within our European region on a daily basis.

Publications:

You will be involved in the entire production process, from receipt of data from Japan, through translation and print, and delivery to our compounds across Europe.

Retail Environment:

Assisting the Retail Environment Manager in ad hoc projects relating to the launch and roll-out of the Dream Dealer Concept.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the timely delivery of publications across the UK and Europe, both in printed and digital formats.
  • Completing quality evaluations of owner’s manuals and other documents to ensure suitability for publishing.
  • Taking ownership of project activity within the department to ensure smooth implementation of new initiatives/systems.
  • Ensuring that your activities follow the standard operating procedures and identifying and implementing areas for process improvement on a daily basis.
  • Preparation of reports, and presentation to management, Japan, and Customer Division.
  • Regular communication with our global offices and our compounds/warehouses across Europe.
  • General administrative duties, such as email administration, raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
  • Where required, visiting compounds/warehouses to support with business reviews, audits, and other necessary activity.
  • Review of Honda Design guidelines and Dealer Brand Reviews.
  • Administration of Honda Motorcycle Retail Environment Design (RED) pack web portal.
  • Qualifications, skills and experience: Required/Desirable

  • Great communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels

  • Good MS Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
