Summer Student Services Manager

 (Full-Time, Fixed-Term)

EF International Language Campus, Oxford, is seeking highly-motivated professionals willing to join the Student Services team in various departments to support the running of the summer school during our summer peak. This role is fixed term, planned for June-August based on student volume. This is the perfect opportunity to grow your career and gain management experience in an international environment.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

As the Summer Student Services Manager, you will be the face of the EF school for both our students and our staff. You will be overall responsible for welcoming the students into the school with a smile, being approachable for their needs as well as creating a lively and exciting atmosphere for them to enjoy day-to-day. You will report to the Centre Manager.

  • Is available to speak to students with welfare/safeguarding concerns and provide assistance where necessary, escalating any concerns to the Centre Manager where appropriate
  • To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
  • Managing reception staff and creating rotas (where applicable) and supporting in answering phones and internal/external enquiries
  • Managing an inclusive and supportive welfare provision in the school
  • Leads the running of weekly intakes of new students (alongside the Summer Activities Manager), ensuring the smooth execution of the event 
  • Leads the running of weekly departure ceremonies (alongside the Summer Activities Manager) of leaving students, ensuring the smooth execution of the event
  • Manages first week chats (Face-to-face evaluations) and ensures any concerns raised are followed up by the appropriate department
  • Ensures any negative feedback given is followed up to an appropriate resolution.
  • Assisting and supporting summer staff with their queries
  • Supporting and training the staff and students with welfare, safeguarding and medical concerns
  • Participates in weekly departmental meetings, and central meetings as and when required
  • Ensures student/staff concerns are escalated to Centre Manager when appropriate
  • Is responsible for under 18-year-old students and ensures all u18 safeguarding/welfare procedures and policies are in place, implemented and improved throughout the summer
  • Assists in the promotion of weekly events in school throughout the summer 
  • Assists students with any queries relating to their course, ensuring all paperwork/logs are completed and filed/input properly
  • The role may include accommodation in one of our accommodation options (as accommodation offset in return for extra responsibilities including curfew checks).

    You will work full-time including weekends. You will be reporting to the Centre Manager and provide additional support customer facing or in administration.

    The position will be based at Oxford Pullens Lane, to start June 2021 for a fixed period of time. (between 6 to 10 weeks, volume related)

    There is more than one role available. (Residence Coordinator, Student Services Coordinator, Host Family Coordinator and Activities Coordinator)
