    Students’ Union Manager, ARU London

    35 hours per week (flexibility required)

    £36,584 incl location allowance

    ARU London sites (Farringdon & East India Quay)

    Are you ready to step up to lead and manage operations of ARU London SU, including representation democracy, activities, advice, communications, commercial opportunities and office spaces?

    What you will be doing

  • Developing and implementing long-term strategic plans for ARU London, including securing funding and necessary resources for the future
  • Overseeing and developing the active engagement of students in the democratic and representative functions of the SU.
  • Collaborating with the SU Advice Manager to ensure effective and sustainable development of SU Advice provision at ARU London.
  • Responsible for any commercial operations within the ARU London setting.
  • Managing the ARU London budget
  • Managing the Health and Safety environment for SU staff, SU activities, student-led activities and visitors on the ARU London campus
  • What we’re looking for

  • Knowledge of the processes required to coordinate member-led activities or volunteering systems
  • Some experience of reporting to a range of stakeholders in written and verbal formats
  • Good experience of delivering multiple projects across a wide range of areas
  • Good experience of planning and delivering of impact led projects focussed on making positive change
  • Skills that will help you

    ARUSU represents approximately 20,000 students at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) across campuses in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and London. In addition, we provide a range of services; academic and welfare advice, support to students running societies and volunteering opportunities in and around the campuses. Whilst we play an important student representative role that sometimes sees us challenge the University, we work closely with them and support areas of delivery within their strategy.
