If you answered yes to these questions then United Response wants to hear from you! We are looking for friendly, patient people to join our education team in Exmouth on a part time basis.

ROC College is one of the brilliant ways we aim to provide the support that the people we work with actually need, not what we think they need. It’s all about helping young people and adults to learn and develop the key life skills they need in order to live as independently as possible.

What does a Student Support do?

The role of Student Support can be hugely varied as each person we support may need something different but you will be responsible for:

  • Develop life skillsThis may include employment, travelling, cooking etc.
  • Assessing outcomes and progress
  • Teaching functional maths and English skills where appropriate
  • What we need from you:

To be a successful Student Support you should be a proactive individual with the ability to use your initiative to ensure that you provide the most tailored content possible to the people you support. To be considered for the role of Student Support you don’t need previous teaching experience but we do ask for previous experience of working with learning disabilities and ideally behaviours that challenge.
