    Student Opportunities Coordinator

    28 hours per week (flexibility required)

    £17,177 (£21,472 FTE)

    Cambridge campus

    Are you passionate about enhancing the student experience? Have you got experience coordinating events and maximising participation?

    In this role, you will focus on developing and enhancing the provision of course-based societies on our Cambridge campus, working within the wider Student Opportunities team.

    What you will be doing

  • Conducting research into course-based engagement with societies on your campus and use data to target courses with a need for increased engagement.
  • Support your societies in sourcing funding, running events and booking society trips.
  • Develop and deliver training to society committee members and source additional training for members where needed
  • Gather insight into student engagement with the Student Opportunities department and its operations, for example, capturing data on society member experiences.
  • Coordinate, deliver and promote relevant opportunities and events with the aim to increase society and student engagement, such as Welcome and Global Week.
  • What we’re looking for

  • Experience of working with diverse groups of people
  • Experience and understanding of customer service
  • Ability to conduct research and analyse data
  • Ability to develop professional relationships for the benefit of students and the Union
  • Skills that will help you

  • Ability to present in front of large groups
  • Experience of working with volunteers
  • Knowledge of the H.E. sector

    This role will be based at the Cambridge Campus.
