Overall Purpose of the Job:
The Faculty of Humanities is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an innovative and driven marketing and recruitment professional to join our Team as Marketing and Recruitment Manager, on secondment for a period of 6 months.
You will lead the implementation of Humanities’ student marketing and recruitment strategy to achieve ambitious student recruitment and diversification targets. You will lead a team of marketing professionals: directing, evaluating and optimising campaigns and projects.
This role will work closely with each School in the Faculty, Central Student Marketing and Recruitment Teams, International Office, Applications and Admissions, and TLSE colleagues to ensure the recruitment and diversification targets are met.
You will play a key role in the newly formed Student Marketing and Recruitment Team, reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Recruitment. As an experienced manager you will work alongside the Team’s other Marketing Manager with responsibility for a team of 3 Marketing Officers, 7 Marketing Coordinators and a Marketing Assistant.
As a marketing and recruitment professional with a strong track record of delivering integrated campaigns, you will be confident working with all levels of staff internally, including presenting at senior committees, and representing the University externally with senior stakeholders.
You will work closely with academic colleagues across the Faculty, so the ability to develop and manage positive working relationships is essential. An innovative outlook is important, as is a strong commitment to professional and team development. You will develop an excellent working relationship with colleagues across Professional Services, ensuring a one university approach to everything we do. You may be required to travel overseas on university business, depending on both business needs and any relevant international travel restrictions. Ideally you will have experience of Higher Education marketing and recruitment activity both at home and internationally.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
