Student Administrator- Placements & Extra Mural Studies
To support the delivery of placement / Extra Mural Studies (EMS) services to the students undertaking the VNBS, VNCAB & BVSc Programmes at Bristol Veterinary School.
What will you be doing?
Administer the database/s of Veterinary Nursing placements (& EMS), both foster and specialist placements, prepare and update information (including placement handbooks, collation of assessment to be sent to placement providers). Work with EMS/Placement team as required, to collate, distribute, collect, record and archive documentation.
Act as a key contact for both students and placement providers regarding placements for each of the VN programmes for relevant documentation, health and safety information, trouble-shooting problems. Working to resolve any immediate or outstanding issues with students’ placements or placement providers calling on assistance from relevant individuals; line-manager and academic colleagues, as necessary.
Liaise with academic colleagues, including Heads of Programmes, responsible for placements/EMS. Liaise with placement providers with information regarding students attending the placements.

You should have excellent customer care skills, be passionate about providing a high level of support to students and be able to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and cultures. You should also have proven organisational and administrative skills, be efficient, adaptable and used to working in a very busy environment. The ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines is also essential.
In addition, you should be experienced in using a range of IT systems (particularly Excel) and able to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
