This is a full time substantive contract post.BHRUT is one of the largest acute trusts in the UK serving a population of , from a wide range of social and ethnic groups, The Trust provides Specialist Trauma, Oncology, Neurosciences, Hyper acute, Stroke and Critical care services. We are also currently developing our capacity to act as the main tertiary referral Centre for North East London & Essex.We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative professional to join a growing team of Geriatricians with varying interests and skills to enhance and develop our current service provision. The Department currently provides specialist services for acute frailty, falls, dementia, orthogeriatrics, surgical liaison, Parkinson’s disease. The Trust is keen to develop an outstanding geriatric service and is looking for a highly motivated and innovative physician to supplement the present team.Post holders will be joining an experienced team of eight Consultants he Specialty. You will be working in partnership with Consultant colleagues, trainees, junior doctors, matrons, ward managers, nursing and therapy teams as part of a well-established multi-professional team.You will provide support for the care of medical patients throughout their pathway within the division. There will be opportunities to gain experience in speciality outpatient clinics, as well as supporting with the quality improvement of the department.
