Social Science Graduate – Macclesfield
One of our partner schools located in the Macclesfield are currently looking for a recent social science graduate to work within an experienced SEN department from September 2021. You will be supporting the SEMH department, focusing on the mental health for students and 1:1 support. Since schools have re-opened after the lockdown, we have found a huge increase of students that have developed/increased the SEMH needs. Therefore, an increase of support staff has been required.
The students have been identified of needing additional support within the classroom by the experienced SENCO and SEN team, so prior understanding/experience of SEMH support would be highly desirable. would be supporting both groups and 1:1 mentoring/support. You will also be helping with a variety of students who have SEN needs.
Main Aspects of the Job:
- Help with in class tasks to assist those in and around those schools.
- Ability of working well under pressure with the ability of overcoming any diversity for different situations and scenarios.
- Working alongside children who often find themselves in need of more support that there peers. (Mainly working with SEMH and general SEN needs
- Producing resources of those who may be more in need of additional support, both in small groups and 1:1 support.
This school is located in the Macclesfield area, with great public transport links situated in the very close to the school alongside the accessibility for car drivers. Both the M60 and M56 running close by and a large car park on the property. The school is set in very pleasant surroundings boasting fantastic facilities within the local area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
