You will be screening & grading to an advanced level to assess for diabetic retinopathy, as well as proactively mentoring junior staff. We`ll need you to be empathetic and able to talk to patients about their images daily; as well as assist the team leaders with patient queries.
You will be working largely unsupervised in a pressured environment, so a cool head is essential! All in all, we want you to be patient focused, caring about our patients and being passionate about always delivering an exceptional service.
This role will be based across Knowsley, St Helens, Halton & Warrington, so a full UK driving licence and flexibility is essential.
Working with the management team, you`ll be helping to mentor and support our screener/graders to ensure they understand and learn everything they need to complete the screening diploma and deliver an exceptional service to our patients.
You must be a qualified Screener/Grader with experience of grading to high standard (arbitration level is desirable). We want to make sure you are set for success; this isn`t all about your skills and that is why we would love to talk to you even if perhaps you don`t fit all the below.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
All offers are subject to satisfactory vetting and reference checks. All roles as standard undertake a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, some roles may require additional vetting such as NPPV/MOD.
