Psychology Graduate – Stockport
This Ofsted good school located close to the Cheadle area of Stockport are currently looking for a recent graduate that will be interested in using their degree towards students that have additional SMEH Needs. The school you will be working with is highly desirable for the commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of Children. We would therefore ask all applicants to either have a DBS that is on the updated service or will be willing to apply for a new one.
Therefore, we will be wating to recruit someone who has prior experience in the role and previous experience of working with children/young people in either an educational setting or have any transferable skills. Candidates must possess the ability to communicate well with students, be able to manage student behaviour in line with the academy behaviour code, and possess the ability to motivate students, acting as a positive role model.
Main Aspects of the Job:
- Supporting an experienced SEN team whilst monitoring student mental health. This would either be 1:1 support or group work.
- Understanding of different SEN needs and the ability to adhere to different student needs.
- Working alongside students that may find the learning process as more of a challenge compared to their peers.
- Heling within class tasks whilst assisting the SENCO with tasks both in and around the school.
- Pay would be dependent on experience this would be between £325 – £375 weekly.
This school is situated close to Cheadle are of Stockport which is very easily accessible from the city centre with public transport links running very closely to the Manchester school. Along with easy access from surrounding areas of Manchester with both the M60 and M56 being very accessible to the school for any car drivers. The school is set in very pleasant surroundings boasting fantastic facilities within the local area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
