Bournemouth University’s Doctoral College plays a leading role in supporting our Postgraduate Research Students (PGRs) through their journey, overseeing the quality assurance of PGR provision and contributing to the academic & social experience for this unique student cohort. We have four Doctoral Schools which form part of the wider Doctoral College.
The opportunity has arisen for one creative and proactive Postgraduate Research Administrator, to manage the administration of the admission and conferments of PGRs across all Faculties.
You will work with a team of Postgraduate Research Administrators across the University, and the wider Doctoral College team members, to provide specialised administrative support in respect of our PGRs’ admissions and conferments. You will be an excellent communicator, able to work well with students and colleagues to provide a high-quality service within a varied environment. You will need to be able to prioritise a varied workload, be confident in working to your own initiative, have excellent communication and IT skills with good attention to detail and an adaptable approach.
This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 18 April 2022, to cover the maternity leave of an established member of staff. Consideration may also be given to the post being offered as a secondment opportunity but this would need to be discussed with their line managers prior to application.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
