About the Role

The research post will be for 12 months at the Centre for Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging of the William Harvey Research Institute. The post is intended to generate clinical research outputs using the UK Biobank repeat imaging visit data ( ).

About You

Tasks involved in the job include:

  • Retrieval, structuring, and pre-processing of ECG and cardiac imaging data from UK Biobank including quality control
  • Contribute to constructing a statistical analysis plan
  • Use state-of-the-art methodologies to derive markers from ECG and cardiac imaging data, including AI technology
  • To write up the findings for publication
  • To contribute to the overall scientific endeavour of the research group, and to take responsibility for areas of other current projects, as demand requires.

    The Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Centre was established in 2010. This clinical-academic Centre is closely linked to the Department of Imaging at Barts Heart Centre, Barts Health NHS Trust and also collaborates closely with clinical academics from University College London.

    The post is based at the 1 St Martin’s Le Grand building in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 1 year (12 months), 12 months (may be extended subject to agreement) with an expected start date of 1 December 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4 Research, in the range of £38,655-£40,797 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
