We are looking for graduates with relevant degrees to join our Amey Secure Infrastructure Facilities Management team in Barnsley Schools. We look after thousands of assets for customers across the UK, ensuring users of these facilities can do so in a safe, clean and secure environment. We ensure Clients can optimise their estate management with data analytics that can help identify ways to minimise their costs, exploit infrastructure opportunities and mitigate their facilities-based risks

What will this role involve?

  • People Management of cleaners and facility technicians including the management of subcontractors ensuring risk assessments and method statements are in place
  • Attend monthly client meetings with the Operations Manager
  • Analysing jeopardy management of key performance metric reports to minimise key performance indicators and financial deductions
  • Supporting with the potential to lead on capital projects, if suitably qualified, as the Client requires or in relation to lifecycle works
  • Contribute and deliver pre-planned maintenance tasks within set time frames collaborating with the helpdesk and supporting on technical queries (if qualified to do so)

  • As an Operations Graduate, you’ll gain experience of working alongside our commercial experts and collaborating with wider, multi-disciplinary teams on our contracts
  • We’ll develop your skills and knowledge so that you can help ensure our specified project outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the quality required
  • A competitive starting salary (£26,500 per year) rising in line with your progress and achievements
  • A structured programme of targeted training and development activities, with a mentor assigned to support you through completion of the Professional Development Scheme designed to help you work towards professional qualification.

  • Minimum 2nd Class Degree in an infrastructure support related subject, such as architecture, building services, engineering, facilities management, or business management
  • A positive attitude to continuing your professional development, demonstrating an aspiration, with Amey’s support, to join a related professional body (such as Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management, etc) and gain further qualifications in the field such as health and safety or project management
  • Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Effective interpersonal and team working skills, with evidence of problem-solving ability
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan and manage your own time and activities
  • Available to join us at the start of September 2021
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
  • A willingness to relocate, to gain further exposure and develop your understanding of different contracts within Facilities Management.
