Maths Graduate LSA

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a Chorlton based Secondary School for a Graduate Maths Learning Support Assistant. The role is set to start September 2021 as a permanent position.

This role is ideal for any graduate looking to kickstart a career in education with hands on, in school experience. As a client training school, in school teaching training options can be discussed depending on performance where you will be trained to become a fully qualified teacher.

As a learning support assistant you will be providing dedicated support for a small number of students who have been outlined by the SENCO of a large Chorlton based Secondary school as requiring additional support. The role will be predominantly focussed around providing dedicated academic support to raise attainment in Mathematics, working with students from all year groups with dedicated 1:1 and small group support sessions.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a 2:2 or above in Mathematics or a related subject, any experience providing support for children through sports coaching, tuition or youth work is also extremely beneficial.

  • Pay between £1200 – £1350
  • Potential for full teaching training to be provided
  • Full time graduate position
  • Work in a large, Chorlton based secondary school

The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
