RISK is a fully independent function whose mission is to advise the banks top management on risk appetite and risk anticipation. We provide fast, reliable information about risk profile and offer high quality risk measurement/quantification and risk management expertise to the groups stakeholders.

RISK UK is responsible for the UK regional risk functions for six different streams. The range and focus vary across Risk Global Markets, Risk Systems, and four other teams that all support the UK Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

What youll get to do

The RISK Department is a multi-cultural and dynamic environment which aims to foster individual initiatives and innovation. Within this position, youll work with the RISK UK Chief of Staff whose role is to assist and advise the UK Chief Risk Officer (CRO) on immediate day-to-day activities and the strategic risk management. Typical daily tasks will include:

  • Management forums: Preparations for management committees and Townhalls and follow up of actions and initiatives
  • Communications: Participating in the organisation of internal comms and events such as RISK talks, other risk culture events, breakfasts with new joiners/talent and senior management, volunteering, and team social events
  • Innovation: Assist in the process of fostering innovation within the department where youll help define local RISK UK innovative strategy in cooperation with the Innovation champion network
  • Human Resources: Assist in organisation and management of the RISK UK Talent Programme (training and coaching programme) in partnership with local HR along with HR/Conduct and compliance to support Department HR risks
  • Logistics/Office Management: Manage office and database in partnership with facilities team, contribute to Flex office transformation, and follow evolutions in local budget monitoring as developed by the COS
  • Permanent Control: to support the permanent control (RISK UK OPC) team
  • What were looking for

    Individuals motivated to make quantitative data-driven decisions, work in a team environment, and contribute both autonomously and collaboratively. Here are some additional things were looking for from our graduate candidates:

  • Very organized and interest in high level staff management/logistics
  • Capable of participating in large strategic projects and multi-tasking
  • Coding/automation skills are pre-requisite, as the candidate will have to automate some process
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Power BI and VBA
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of French an advantage but not a pre-requisite)
  • Code of Conduct

  • Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risks
