Lecturer in Dental Education /

Deputy Director of Undergraduate Education (0.4 FTE)

The Division of Dentistry attracts the highest calibre students to its outward-looking and modern BDS programme. The focus is upon enquiry-based learning and clinical teaching within the community. We also provide teaching and learning for postgraduate programmes (MSc, PG Dip and PG Cert). There are also a number of research students (MPhil and PhD) whose programmes include taught elements. A recent development has been the introduction of a four-year PhD programme that offers clinical experience alongside research training.

We are looking for a part time academic, at Lecturer level, to support the Division and also the Director of Undergraduate Education as and when required. The focus of the role will be on non-clinical years. As part of your role you will assist in the development and achievement of a strategy for undergraduate teaching in the Division in accordance with the Division, School, Faculty and University’s overall strategy, and for providing leadership to colleagues in the furtherance of the strategy.

To apply we would ask that you have a relevant post graduate qualification in a relevant subject, a clear vision of teaching and learning goals of the University and Faculty along with Experience of teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate dental students.
