About the role

If you have a keen interest in new technology, like working with others and have strong interpersonal, communication and engagement skills, enjoy analysis and have a structured, problem-solving mindset, then we’re looking for you. We have various opportunities in the teams who are responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships with IT’s customers across National Grid as we transform to a digitally enabled business. In order to deliver a great service, you will also need to work with a varied range of people across the whole of IT, and our partner supplier organisations. As part of a Business Partnering team you could be working in Project Management, Business Analysis, Architecture or Business Consultancy. 

This position gives you the opportunity to participate in our IT Graduate Development Programme, an 18-month experience consisting of three 6-month placements in varying IT departments. Your first placement will be in the role outlined below and you will return to this role following two broadening 6-month rotations where your knowledge of IT at National Grid will be expanded.

What you’ll need

As one of our Graduates, you’ll have the chance to start putting your studies into practice. You’ll need to be curious and proactive. Ask questions. Be interested. Along with a 2:1 (preferred) or 2:2 (acceptable) Degree classification in one of the following disciplines:

• Computing, Business, Management, Economics (preferred) STEM (acceptable)

What you’ll get

You will receive a starting salary of £29,254  (or 30,318 f you hold a Masters) and a £2000 joining bonus.
