We have a fantastic opportunity to join our International Student Support team playing a vital part in the support and retention of our international students at the University.
This student facing role has specific responsibility for organising and delivering student engagement activities that enhance the student experience and create a sense of belonging for international students, as well as supporting them with elements of pastoral support, information and advice.
To be successful in this rewarding role you should ideally have experience of coordinating events and activities, as you’ll be project managing activities such as the international students’ orientation programme, and implementing innovative ideas around the development and delivery of an ongoing programme of social and cultural events. As a key point of contact for our international students, you will also co-ordinate an ongoing programme of information and induction activities for new international students and provide elements of pastoral support. As this post forms a job share position, the successful candidates will need to co-ordinate their working days to ensure core working hours are covered, preferably we would like the working days to cover some hours on a Tuesday to allow an overlap with your job share partner, and 2 other days towards the latter part of the week. This post is a maternity cover position until January 2022.
