The position will give an opportunity to gain a broad insight and play a key role within HR in a manufacturing plant environment. The successful candidate will help to contribute to achieving the goals and objectives of this business-critical function and will gain invaluable experience towards their personal development. Additionally, they will benefit from gaining enhanced communication skills and the experience of working within a small efficient team.
Ensure effective communications internally and externally from the HR department
Promote a positive employer brand through managing the BorgWarner microsite
Organize staff communications such as meet and greet
Create and maintain HR process flows, making sure HR processes are lean
Advise on data protection issues (General Data Protection Regulations)
Support the HR Administrator in Payroll and acts as a backup when required
Provide overall HR and performance support for one area of the business
Deliver HR and benefits induction
Take responsibility for absence management providing regular reports and support managers on absence reviews to ensure absence is managed well
Undertake exit interviews
Support managers and HR Business Partners in performance conversations including creating development plans and performance improvement plans
Support the HR team on major projects such as the Culture Survey
Support the HR team with general administration and HR support such as arranging interviews, conducting interviews, arranging training etc
Ensure accurate data entry into Workday (HRIS) of employee changes
Take responsibility for management of the apprenticeship programme, including sourcing, selecting and ongoing performance management of apprentices with support of mentors/managers
Required knowledge and experience:
Bachelors Degree (or working towards).
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Resilience, determination and good communication and leadership skills.
Flexibility to meet the changing needs of our business.
Proficiency in MS Office.
To live within commuting distance of our Bradford Office.
