Graduate Veterinary Surgeon – Full Time – Shelfield Vets4Pets

We’re located only 15 minutes from the edge of Cannock Chase an area of outstanding natural beauty whilst being only minutes from the A5 and M6 making getting to work an easy commute for those who live across South Staffs and the West Midlands. Our great location also means we benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful loyal client base. 

Shelfield Vets4Pets work closely together with Cannock Vets4Pets and are supported by two partners, 15 year qualified Sally Potter, advanced practitioner in both orthopaedics & ophthalmology, and Sue Lunn who runs the business & management side of the practices. 

You will be working alongside two other Vets as well as having the support of RVN’s, SVN’s with a variety of experience, skills and knowledge to help one another. Our well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and you’ll get use of our in-house lab, digital x-rays and ultrasound.

You will be carrying out consultations, neutering, mass removals, dentals, x-rays as well as more complex surgeries if you have had previous experience or once you have been mentored. 

This role is full time, 40 hours per week with just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am-1pm). Between Monday and Friday the shifts are either between 8.30am – 4.30pm, 9.30 – 5.30pm or 11.30am – 7.30pm. There are no OOH requirements. 

The practice has the team and facilities to support a new graduate. Dependant when joining the team there may be an opportunity to join the Vets4Pets New Grad programme. VetGPD advisors are already in our teams to support a new graduate vet.
