Graduate Trainee Accountant – Bury


We are looking for a recent Accounts or Finance Graduate to provide support to our Accounts Team in Whitefield.

The main duties will be to assist the team with all aspects of the internal accounting function.

The specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with Purchase Invoices
  • Reconciling Suppliers statements
  • Raising Sales Invoices for certain Group Companies
  • Making approved Payments and preparing bulk BACS payments each month
  • Processing transactions on Sage
  • Dealing with Bank Accounts, including receipts and payments and reconciling them each month
  • Accounting for sales invoices and bank transactions for the Corporate Strategies Division of the Group
  • Account for petty cash in all offices
  • Dealing with people both inside and outside of the Group on accounting matters
  • Reconcile client bank accounts
  • Carry out accounting routines for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the Group
  • Skills required:

  • Self-driven with a positive outlook
  • Motivated and proactive with the ability to work both well alone and as part of a team
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Sound financial knowledge and numerical skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Training will be given to enable the growth of accounting knowledge.
