Graduate Teaching Assistant: Science

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of large South Manchester Secondary School for a Science Graduate Teaching Assistants.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the main class teacher with handing out work, supporting students with 1:1 and small group assistance and helping prepare the lesson. The role will be heavily focused on providing dedicated Science intervention to students across all year groups. This provides an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to build a career in education with flexible, classroom experience.

Teaching Personnel can help support your career in education through our unique Future Teachers Programme. The programme provides graduates with a long term placement within a secondary school, providing a valuable insight into the role of a fully qualified teacher, before going onto your teaching training course. 

The ideal candidate will be a graduate in Science or a related subject, with excellent communication skills. Any experience as a teaching assistant, tutor or support worker would be extremely beneficial.

The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
