As part of an on-going programme of investment and development, the School of Engineering, London South Bank University is seeking to appoint one new fixed term Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2020 to July 2021in the Division of Chemical and Energy Engineering.
 
You should share our passion for high quality research-led teaching and be able to contribute to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Chemical Engineering.

Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) in Chemical Engineering

We are particularly interested in recruiting a GTA with interest in:

  • Software and computational systems (e.g. HYSYS)
  • Sustainable systems – such as energy storage and energy harvesting
  • Catalysis (reaction design, kinetics)
  • The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the teaching and administrative aspects of the Division and develop an internationally recognised, externally funded interdisciplinary research programme in their area of specialist research. We are seeking candidates who complement our current research programme and who are able to integrate across existing areas of expertise. Current areas of research interest are listed in detail

    About You

    You will join our lively and dynamic School which is internationally-recognised for its research and teaching. You will have an excellent academic research record, including peer-reviewed publications, be full of creative ideas and willing to work in a dynamic team.

    You will hold (or be expecting to complete) a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or closely related subject.

    You should have a demonstrable track record of high-quality research or technology development. Experience and/or qualifications in teaching are a significant advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills will be necessary to liaise with work colleagues and academic partners as well as supervising researchers and students.
