Graduate Teaching Assistant – September Start – £60 – £70 per day

If the answers to the question above is yes, then we would love to help you kick start your career by working as a Teaching Assistant in one of our partnership primary schools within Newport.

About the role

The role of a Graduate Teaching assistant can be very diverse and exciting as not one day looks the same. Working under the guidance of the classroom teacher you will work with children in small groups or 1:1 to ensure they’re well supported in their classroom tasks. Also, you will help create resources for the children in order to develop lesson content. Further duties may involve delivering intervention sessions to pupils to raise their attainment levels in Maths and English.

All you need to start working with us is an enhanced children’s workforce only DBS and be registered to the Education Workforce Council (EWC), both of which we will help you with during your registration. Lastly, you need a great attitude towards work.

There is no catch to working with Teaching Personnel as we don’t take any fees from you weekly wages. Additionally, all of our Graduate Teaching Assistants get paid above the National Living Wage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
