An international organisation that owns a variety of national trade brands. This is a business that specialises in Power Tools, Fixings and Consumables direct to the trade, dealing with building contractors of various disciplines, engineering and manufacturing.
It is a business that prides itself in training and developing it’s staff, with many business segment managers and field sales account managers starting in this role before moving into more senior positions.
Based in our client’s regional headquarters in Edinburgh and working as part of a small sales team, you’ll manage new and existing account customers, building relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to facilitate on-going trade and strategic sales growth. You will have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with your account base as well as have a major input into the product lines available to them.
Do well in this role and you can expect the opporutnity to move into a field sales role within 1 to 2 years with progression into managing your own team within 3 to 5.
It’s like that you are a graduate who is fairly new to sales. Whether this has been gained in a business-to-business or business-to-consumer setting isn’t as important as your personality, drive and career-minded attitude.
This is a role for a confident, people-person hungry to develop their career and who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and some experience of dealing with customers in a sales or account management capacity.
You can expect a competitive starting salary of up to £28,000 along with an attractive bonus scheme. Once you’ve proven yourself you can expect your earnings to increase along with your level of responsibilty.
