About The Role

An exciting training opportunity has become available for a newly qualified Graduate Radiographer (0-1 year post qualified)

You will be based at our MRI department at The Fylde coast imaging centre in Blackpool

This unit is a friendly community based department and the unit currently has two MRI scanners working 5-7 days a week. One is an extremity MRI scanner and the other is an open whole body MRI scanner.

As part of the training you will be expected to rotate to one of our other MRI units which is located at Wrightington Hospital, This MRI unit is a modular 1.5T Siemens scanning unit, which specialises in MSK work.

There will also be opportunities to train in PET-CT and this will be at our dedicated PET-CT unit at Royal Preston Hospital

The PET/CT scanning department has a GE PET/CT scanner, this is a very busy department where we offer cancer services and research work as well as diagnostic CT.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to train and develop all within one role.

Expectation of work is Monday –Sunday

40 hours per week

Required Skills and Experience

All applicants must hold a Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc in Radiography or other UK recognised qualification, have a current HCPC Registration and evidence of CPD.

To be eligible for this role you must have at least 12 months’ post qualification experience in a clinical setting.

Excellent organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as you will be working as part of a team and alongside other departments.
