Graduate Quality Control Technician

Start date: October 2021

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £26 000 plus benefits

In this role you have the opportunity to disassemble and reassemble a “best in class” electronic, medical device which is at the front line of saving lives. Inspecting the internal build quality of the electronic/electrical and mechanical design aspects of the products. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Quality and can develop from here into a Quality Engineer role.

You are responsible for:

  • Goods inwards inspection and functional testing of products and goods into stores
  • Performing Goods Inwards activities & supporting paperwork checks (CofC, Purchase Order etc.) in accordance with quality processes
  • Inspecting partially and fully completed assemblies to engineering requirements
  • Raising and reporting non-compliance issues, non-conforming product detected at the goods-in stage and supporting production detected non-conformities
  • Collating and analysing the goods inwards inspection and nonconforming product data to support trending analysis on quality issues and performance metrics
  • Developing and creating inspection instructions, work instructions and other quality documents
  • Setting up tests and investigations to verify the performance of RDT’s products as directed by quality assurance
  • Collating results from tests and entering them into reports

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Related degree in Quality, Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong motivation to work in Quality engineering, Quality Inspection and Quality Control
  • Interest in working in a healthtech company working closely with medical devices
  • Practical mechanical skills and familiarity with handling electronic assemblies including electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions
  • PC literate. Experienced in Office 365 and internet applications
  • Ability to record tests performed, their setup, results found etc. in a structured, ordered and timely manner
