PR Executive

Material Focus

Hello! Material Focus is an independent, not-for-profit start-up looking for a PR Executive to join our determined and passionate team who put sustainability at the heart of everything we do.

We have launched the Recycle Your Electricals campaign to stop people throwing away their small unwanted electricals – and get more people reusing and recycling them. We are looking for someone who has a personal interest in sustainability, preferably experience too.

To do this you will need to ensure we achieve effective and engaging media coverage in a range of titles – with a strong focus on consumer titles for the campaign, and environmental sections of the media for Material Focus. You will draft media releases and content relating to the campaigns across all our media channels. You will enjoy and excel at forging relationships with journalists and key influencers and will assist with the response to ‘crisis’ situations, with support from the PR and external relations lead.
