A school in Stockport requires a motivated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join the team. The school has an outstanding SEN department, is looking to appoint an individual who is confident in working with students with SEN. There will be opportunity to work within your specialist subject, providing small group interventions and working with students who require extended support. The applicant will also gain the opportunity to shadow full time teaching staff, gaining extended knowledge into the running of a classroom. This role will prepare the applicant well before teacher training, and will gain full support of the senior leadership team. Relevant training will also be provided by the school.

Additionally, the role will enable the applicant the chance to:

  • Provide behaviour support – working with the inclusion team in supporting and guiding students who do not meet behaviour standards.
  • Work as a cover supervisor – managing the classroom, gaining invaluable knowledge and delivering pre-set lesson plans.
  • Work within the SEN department – working with those with Autism, Mobility issues, Sensory Issues,.

Working through Teaching Personnel will enable the successful applicant pay through PAYE, as well as the opportunity for temporary, flexible work.

Pay for this role: £10 and £15 per hour.

  • Located in Stockport, close to the M60 motorway.
  • Accessible from Manchester, Tameside, Oldham, High Peak.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
