We are building a bank that will solve customer problems through utilising clean UX and UI, responsive web design, solid and reliable backend, robust and adaptable and secure cloud infrastructure and intelligent data insights.
What you will be working on:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Building new features in any one of our technical areas – frontend, backend, data or DevOps. Partnering with data analysts, data scientists, product, backend, frontend engineers to solve ad-hoc and planned problems. Ensuring our systems run reliably, securely and efficiently. Designing and building API services that interact with the Tandem mobile app. On the job learning and development, and supported along the way by Subject Matter Experts within a culture that supports learning and improvement. Having business exposure and accountability from day one.

What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours: Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent areas of studies
OR Distinguished Graduate from a respected Code Academy like Flatiron, Le Wagon, Red Academy, General Assembly, Makers Academy
AND Passion for all things digital, software AND web applications (showcasing your own developments outside of your studies is a huge plus, i.e. in GitHub / Repository Professional Work Experience; ideally a period of work within or for a tech startup /company Experience with at least 2 of these languages, SQL, Ruby, Python, GO, Java, .NET, React or Vue Familiarity with other technologies in the AWS ecosystem, i.e. Lambda , EC2, Cloudfront, API Gateways, Kinesis Passionate about technology and building technology systems Passionate about coding Excited to work in a startup environment
