Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit a Graduate / Junior Electrical Engineer to join the Building Services Team in Bury St Edmunds.

Our Bury St Edmunds Building Services department are very team orientated, this role will suit a loyal and committed Graduate / Junior Electrical Engineer who shares the same values on collaboration and innovation as we do! 

This role will involve working closely with the Senior Electrical Engineers and Technicians in the team, to develop and enhance your knowledge of Building Services.

The successful Graduate / Junior Electrical Engineer will gain experience across a multitude of sectors to include education, healthcare, custodial and leisure, and also expect support towards Chartership. 

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in managing contracts
  • Preparing designs and reports
  • Taking instruction from Team Leader
  • Helping to ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Responsible for ensuring that they understand and comply with all Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures
  • About You

    This role will suit a Graduate / Junior Electrical Engineer who has ideally one plus years experience in a similar role.

    Essential Requirements:

  • HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Building Services
  • Team player
  • Self motivated
  • Further skills and knowledge we would like you to have:

  • Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
  • Design experience with consultant or contractor – desirable
  • Knowledge of current legislation e.g. BuildingRegulations – desirable
  • Electrical design software experience – Cymap or similar – desirable
  • Revit/ Auto CAD knowledge – desirable
  • Appreciate a varied and challenging work load
  • Looking to progress and develop within Pick Everard
  • Ability to manage time with multiple tasks
  • Ability to work to deadlines
