The Role / Position Overview Financial Times Live (FT Live) is the conferences and events division of the Financial Times newspaper and its group publications. Our mission is to bring our global executive audiences the very latest in knowledge and opinion, and connect them to one another. Chaired by senior FT journalists, the 200-plus core events, strategic forums and digital webinars organised by FT Live every year gather pre-eminent public and private sector decision-makers, visionaries and strategists from the world’s most important economies and industries for agenda-setting debates that cover the key issues of our time From unique experiences such as the FTWeekend Festival to our senior-level business summits such as the award winning Global Boardroom, FT Live has become one of the FT Group’s most successful and fastest-growing divisions, and is at the forefront of the FT’s accelerated development as an essential, interactive information source across numerous platforms. We are currently recruiting for Graduate Content Editors, who will research and build the content for our events and develop new event ideas in order to support the growth of each portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and help shape a growing portfolio of events. We have multiple vacancies across a range of portfolios / areas of interest including Banking and Finance, Technology, Energy and Climate, Legal, Healthcare, etc. Key Responsibilities Research, write and produce innovative, high-quality core and strategic solutions programmes (digital, hybrid and in-person). Research, invite and confirm top tier speakers for your events. Conduct due diligence research and assist in the development of new ideas for multi-sponsored core events as well as smaller client tailored events. Liaise with the FT Specialist and FT journalists chairing and/or moderating at our events. Work closely with the sponsorship team to ensure fulfilment of content deliverables Collaborate with the marketing department to create original copy for email campaigns, newspaper ads, social media and marketing brochures. Support on any additional content, including social media campaigns and output Act as speaker liaison and run the event on the day Assist with any other post-event content, including thank you emails to speakers, event summaries, etc. Required Skills/Experience No previous events or professional content experience is required – we will train you on the job. But what we are looking for, is: An inquisitive and astute graduate or entry level professional looking to start a career in B2B event content production Ideally experience gained from a research based course of study Excellent writing skills An entrepreneurial individual who likes to innovate, generate new ideas and think outside of the box Someone highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to multitask Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Eagerness to work within a large, dynamic and fast moving international business A motivated, self-starter who is able to work both independently and as part of a team.
