We are recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Water Engineering team in Leicester. This role will give you the knowledge, qualifications, and hands-on support for a progressive career within civil engineering, and a chance to join a leading UK multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy.

As a Graduate, you will be involved in undertaking design work in AutoCAD and Civil3D under the supervision of a Principal or Associate Engineer. You will also assist in the management of projects, undertaking client-facing duties representing the civil engineering discipline meetings. The type of work you will be involved in will include the design and delivery of Water and Wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the water sector.

About You

This role will suit a Graduate Civil Engineer who is looking to embark on their first role within Civil Engineering. Key requirements include:

  • Engineering degree – BEng or MEng – 2:1 minimum
  • Previous work experience in a similar role (e.g. summer placement) – desirable
  • Knowledge of basic engineering principles
  • Knowledge of British Standards/Euro Codes
  • High level of numeracy – essential
  • Natural interest in drainage/water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D – desirable (training will be provided)
  • You will be:

  • Ambitious, keen to gain Chartered Engineer status, looking to build an established career with our practice 
  • Open minded to learning a broad range of engineering specialisms
  • Collaborative in nature; a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks
  • Able to recognise your own limitations and not be afraid to seek advice and support when needed
