A school in Tameside are looking to appoint Graduate Behaviour Support Assistant, who will be tasked with looking to improve behaviour standards around the school site. This role is an opportunity to develop your skills in engaging young people. Prior experience working within a role where you have had to monitor children’s behaviour is highly desirable. This could be across a variety of different settings – the school is hoping that the applicant will be a confident, and highly driven graduate who is hoping to develop their ability to inspire students to achieve their best.

The school has its own unique behaviour policy, which the applicant will be expected to deliver at all times. This includes within the classroom when required, as well as around the school site (on breaktimes, arrivals to the school site in the mornings, as well as when children are departing once school has finished. The applicant will be expected to communicate regularly with the parents of children who have been excluded from lessons, looking to develop plans to keep pupils on task. Being able to enforce the importance of co-operation in lessons will be essential in order to make this role a success.

Pay for this role will be up to £375 per week (PAYE)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
