About The Job

Salary:  £20,903 – £22,183 per annum
Working Pattern:  Full-time (37 hours per week)
Contract Length: Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2023
Location:  County Hall, Chichester

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a desire to help others across the directorate and in schools. You will need a genuine enthusiasm for supporting colleagues as we establish a robust marketing programme to support the fantastic range of consultancy and training available to schools from our teams and partnerships.

We are seeking a well organised individual with a strong customer service ethic and a “can do” attitude. You will bring your ideas, knowledge, and skills on how to maximise the reach of our offers through the use of appropriate digital marketing tools, ensuring our customers have a good understanding of what can be accessed through the Local Authority, keeping them up to date on new training opportunities and services.

As a digital marketing graduate trainee you will be responsible for, maintaining and updating the , supporting account holders with accessing the, effective marketing and promotion of our traded offer and quality assurance of our online content.

You will confidently communicate and develop good working relationships with a wide and diverse range of people, such as Senior Management, Union representatives, key contacts, and members of the education community.

To succeed at this role, it is important that you have excellent people skills, have a high standard of written English, excellent communication skills and a passion for finding creative solutions and delivering tasks effectively and efficiently. You will be able to work independently, confidently, and flexibly to balance priorities and deadlines.

Experience and Skills

Key Skills:

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and plan own workload to meet deadlines, and manage conflicting demands to deliver against objectives.
  • Excellent analytical and judgemental skills to research and analyse data, troubleshoot, and produce recommended courses of action to address complex problems.
  • High standard of written and spoken English in order to research and understand complex information and produce various communications as documents and/or online content.
  • Confident and credible when communicating with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and senior school leaders, with the ability to present complicated or sensitive information or recommendations in a way that promotes understanding and encourages the take up of solutions presented.
  • Ability to advise, problem solve and facilitate in order to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Qualifications and/or experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating a high standard of written English.
  • Knowledge of the use of digital platforms for marketing and communication purposes.
  • Confident in the production of spreadsheets, programmes of work and communications such as newsletters, formal letters and presentations for senior management & schools to use.
  • Previous experience of supporting children and young people, either in a job or an extra-curricular activity (e.g. Scouting, Guiding, Duke of Edinburgh).
  • Experience and confidence in dealing with people and the ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of coaching others. (Desirable)
