JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Central Student Support Analyst to operate within the Central Student Support (CSS) team in order to deliver a sector leading student experience and to meet our Vision 2024 outcomes. The CSS functions supports the Higher Education UK/EU network across both the International Study Centre and Bellerbys brands. Periodic assistance to other business units in similar activities and tasks may also be required on a periodic basis, as part of our One Team behaviours.

The majority of this role will be delivering interviews to assess credibility of our prospective students so the successful candidate will be confident to communicate via a number of online platforms with non-native speakers of English.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery of student facing support as part of a centralised Pre-Arrival service

  • Interviewing students and capturing outputs, in collaboration with the Visa Compliance function
  • Assistance to Coordinators with back-office type administrative transactions and resolving standard student facing queries when required to agreed SLA during peak periods.
  • Effectively managing and resolving student issues
  • Triage of emergency issues to designated safeguarding leads and/or emergency services.
  • Delivery of administrative support as part of a centralised Post-Arrival service , primarily supporting campus colleagues with ‘post-arrival’ duties.

  • Operation of a suite of administrative processes; typically focussing on the management of booking information, debt management and financial adjustments.
  • Receipt and tracking or transactional based work within a case management system.

    EXPERIENCE

  • Degree educated (desirable)
  • Experience working in a busy office environment (desirable)
  • Experience talking to customers via telephone (essential)
  • Experience working in customer focused role (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential)
  • Competent user of MS office, especially Excel and Outlook (essential)
