What is the role of a ATM Upgrade/Repair Engineer?

The role involves the repair, upgrade and testing of new, refurbished and churn ATMs to make them ready to be commissioned for installation on remote sites throughout the UK

What will I be doing as a ATM Upgrade/Repair Engineer?

  • Loading software, configuring and testing of new ATM’s
  • Fitting parts, loading software, configuring and testing of 3rd party refurb ATM’s
  • Use of Odyssey to consume parts, ATM’s and order parts etc. Completing transform re-work orders
  • Booking in de-installed churn ATM’s, upgrading to required spec, fault finding and carrying out any repairs
  • Loading software, configuring and extended testing of churn ATM’s. Complete ATM upgrade checklist
  • Liaising with other team member or technical support for assistance
  • Carrying out assessments of attack ATM’s and advise Inventory and Stock department
  • Liaise with Inventory and Stock for any issues with new ATM’s and 3rd party refurb companies
  • Testing of locks to identify correct lock back type
  • Fitting correct lock type to ATM if required
  • Liaise with New Wave Warehouse Team to ensure ATMs are re-sprayed and safes drilled when necessary
  • Monitor stock levels of ATM parts, locks and keep BM Parts/Inventory and Stock informed of any requirements
  • Ensure all EPP’s are booked in and updated
  • What Will I Need to Succeed as a ATM Upgrade/Repair Engineer

  • Manual Handling skills – use of pallet trucks to manoeuvre ATMs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and other departments.
  • Good general PC skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail etc.).
  • Technical understanding of ATM functions
