Kellogg College, 60-62 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX2 6PN Grade 5: £26, 341 – £31, 406 per annum About the role We have an exciting opportunity to join the Academic Office at Kellogg College as our Assistant Academic Administrator – Student Experience (Mat Cover). You will play an important role in the smooth running of the Academic Office and helping the Academic Office to achieve its ambition of providing an excellent student experience and a friendly service to other College members and visitors. The Academic Office is a small and friendly team working to support the University’s largest body of graduate students from initial application, through admission and induction, while on course, and eventually, to graduation. We work collaboratively with one another and the wider College staff to deliver the highest possible level of service and support to students at all times. You will be responsible for co-ordinating academic events, manage the College’s valuable scholarship application and award processes, provide support for the College’s busy admissions programme, and manage the non-student Research Membership of Common Room scheme. This is in addition to dealing with enquiries, supervising the work of one Administrative Assistant, and assisting at College ceremonies and events. In carrying out this work, you will interact with a diverse range of people from current students and fellows of the College to staff in offices and academic departments across the University. You will be working in Oxford University’s most international College championing lifelong learning, we bring together a wide range of people with different backgrounds, professions, nationalities and ages. About you You will be a friendly, professional and highly-motivated team player. You will possess excellent communication skills, experience of organising and reviewing events, and strong IT skills, including experience with MS Word, Mail Merge, Excel and databases. You will also have the ability to manage a varied workload, to respond flexibly to the demands of the job, and to maintain the confidentiality of personal data. You will be expected to work to a high level of expertise, efficiency, discretion, and professionalism within an equally motivated team. You will be based in Oxford but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
