Not afraid of a challenge? We need committed knowledgeable social workers to help us with our core business – empowering and supporting people who need signposting, community support, or even some direct help from the Council. We have a strong operating model of strength based practice.
At this difficult time the Council Leadership has made clear their support for our statutory functions, including Adult Social Care. We know where our priorities are.
We have an established and stable base of Team Managers to work with you and support you, our vacancy rates are low – and we rarely use agency staff, preferring to concentrate our efforts on looking after our permanent staff. This includes having a dedicated Training officer supporting adult social care, and a Deputy Principal Social Worker to support staff welfare and practice. We have also recently upgraded our electronic recording system.
Advanced Social Worker
If you have been working in social work for a while and have the skills for complex work, staff supervision, and deputizing for Team Managers then Advanced Social Worker is for you. You should hold a secondary qualification around Practice Education, Best Interest Assessment or equivalent other professional award.
Our Advanced Social Worker group– ‘provides good peer support, and the opportunity to input your ideas to our Senior Management Team.
