Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification

  • A 2:1 or higher degree in Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Studies, or a related field.
  • Passionate about early years education, with an understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
  • A warm, patient, and engaging personality, eager to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
  • Experience working with young children (e.g., nursery, babysitting, tutoring, voluntary work) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and positive approach.

Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant – Job Specification

  • Full-time, long-term Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant role
  • Earn up to £520 per week.
  • Support children in nursery and reception, helping them develop language, motor skills, and social confidence.
  • Assist with phonics, storytelling, early numeracy, and creative play activities.
  • Help create sensory and play-based learning experiences that engage and inspire young minds.
  • Work closely with teachers and EYFS staff, supporting learning through play and hands-on activities.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, term-time only.
