My client provides care services for vulnerable adults across Camden, Barnet, and Wandsworth in various care settings. They’re seeking a motivated & proactive individual to join an expanding team. This role is perfect for someone with grit and enthusiasm who relishes a new challenge each day.
The care services are overseen by the Service Director and several Senior Operations Managers with whom you will work closely to provide administrative support to senior managers and staff by managing and coordinating staff training. You will also help with operational matters when required and seek out opportunities to add value to our service delivery and the experience of our clients.
The successful candidate will be based in North London and occasionally travel to other parts of England as required. There will also be some flexibility with working hours according to the department’s needs, including evenings and weekends.
The Role:

  • Managing all elements of staff training for all employees in the Camden, Barnet, and Wandsworth services. Including partnering with external organisations, collecting staff feedback, and maintaining training documentation and databases.
  • To develop and coordinate an activity calendar for our clients to suit their needs and interests.
  • Closely working on volunteer initiatives, working with external organisations to provide opportunities for service users and personal development opportunities. Develop and maintain good practices and protocols for volunteering and peer employment.
  • develop knowledge of available funding sources, grants and resources which could add value to the service, including funding for a social enterprise model. To complete funding application bids to a high standard. To work with local businesses and partners to secure sponsorships and donations.
  • Liaise with Purchasing Team to manage London PPE stock levels and coordinate PPE deliveries.
  • Marketing personalised services directly to service users and their families. To obtain and share intelligence about local authority and NHS commissioning intentions and strategic priorities.
  • Support with administration, audit and recruitment

About you:

  • Degree level educated
  • Evidence of post-degree work experience and transferable skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to devise and manage programmes and work within deadlines
  • A well-organised and analytical approach to data and information, with the ability to review and summarise information quickly and concisely
  • Ability to develop partnerships and positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Good general IT skills and a good working knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Confidence and ability to produce and deliver presentations to a high standard
  • An ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for the third sector, interest in health and social care policy/provision and commitment to our person-centred values
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or to have had the first vaccination prior to starting employment and to be committed to having the second within 3 months.
  • Successfully pass DBS enhanced disclosure and ISA checks.

What the Role offers:

  • Salary £22,000 -£24,000 per annum DOE
  • £100 bonus (subject to tax) upon successful completion of 4-month probationary period
